Many web design assignments have involved a redesign of existing content. Here are sample screens of the “before” and “after” design for these assignments.
This was a co-branding venture between Hearst New Media’s HomeArts web site division and Excite.com. There were four modules designed to place HomeArts’ content within Excite.com: Eats (food related content), Kissnet (relationship content), Lifestyles (general life content), and Holidays (seasonal content).
This redesign required very limiting constraints. The file size of each module could be no bigger than 25K total, and work within the set parameters of the Excite.com site.
